Import web orders from an Excel file
If you handle many orders, it can be time-consuming to load them one by one in the web portal. To make this process easier, Handy lets you import multiple orders at once from an Excel file.
In this article, we'll go over how to do this.
- Log in to your Handy account in the web portal
- In the main screen, click on Orders
- Click on the blue button called + Create
- Select the option: Create using an Excel template

⬇️ Then, click on Download template
- Open the downloaded Excel file and fill in the required information. Each column corresponds to a product in the order.
- Make sure to correctly fill in the following fields:
- Order date
- Client name
- Product code
- Quantity
- Price per unit (optional)
- Comments (optional)
⚠️ Important: If an order has several products, you'll need to write the same client name and order date in several rows (one per product).
- Maximum of 500 products
- Maximum of 500 rows per order
- Date and time must be in dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss format, for example, 22/06/2025 14:30:00
⬆️ Upload this file to the web portal
- Once your file is ready, drag the file or select it from your device.
- Handy will review your file and let you know if everything is correct. If it is, your order will be imported to the web portal successfully.
Once your order has been imported, it will show in your list of orders just like any other order would. You'll be able to edit, assign, and follow up on the new order from the web portal, as usual.
