Preparing devices to start using Handy

NOTE: This guide is designed for Android devices

Once you have the devices you'll use to implement Handy, follow this guide:

1. Verify the device's time and date are correct

2. Create a Google account

This is required by new Android devices. The device will ask you to create a Google account, which you can verify with the salesperson's email or the company's email.

Make sure not to use the same account for more than 10 devices, or Google will block the account. We recommend having a different account on each device.

3. Check if the device's system is up to date. If not, update the device to the latest operating system.

4. *C*reate users in Handy

In the web portal, you'll need to create your users.

You can create many users by using the Excel template, or you can create them one by one.

We recommend that users are registered with the user's company email, not the email used in their Google account.

5. Install Handy from the Play Store

While you're at it, if you're enjoying Handy, leave a good review in the Play Store.

6. Set up automatic app updates

7. *Optional:* Install AppLock

AppLock is a free app that will help you control your devices so that users don't change the device's settings or install other apps, keeping the device running smoothly and avoiding distractions.
