Location tracking limitations on certain device brands
We've noticed that there are some problems with location tracking with some devices of brands like Huawei, Xiaomi, ZTE, TLC, and others.
This is caused by certain restrictions that some devices have for battery saving.
In some devices, to fix this issue, you just need to change some settings:
- Go to settings and find the Power saving menu, which will show different options for "Energy plans". Please select the options "Normal" or "Balanced".
- Go to settings and find the Protected apps menu, which will show a list of apps marked as "Protected". Mark the Handy app as protected, so that the mobile device doesn't limit the app's resources and allows it to continue running in the background.
Each device's battery saving settings change depending on the brand and the model. In Huawei devices, you'll need to disable Battery saving mode, as well as the Ultra battery saving mode. In the device's settings, you'll also need to disable the Close high power consumption apps.
On some devices, these settings will solve the issues related to location tracking and battery saving, but on some other devices of the previously mentioned brands, location tracking limitations can't be resolved due to the device's factory settings.
