Route closure - Load differences

Handy allows you to generate a new route based on the differences from a previous route, that is, the products that remained loaded in the truck when the route was closed. These items are not sent back to the warehouse but remain available for continued sales.

To do this, add the quantity of product you want to transfer to the new route. When viewing the route, in the Return Inventory section, you’ll see the Load button, which automatically adds the product differences to the Load to vehicle column.

If there are any products listed in the Load to vehicle field, when you try to close the route, you’ll have two options:

  • Create, assign, and notify: Create the route, assign it and notify the user that they have a new load.
  • Create and leave pending: Create the route and leave it pending so that more products can be assigned later, before the user accepts the load.

If you choose to Create, assign and notify, you'll have a new route with the status Open, which will be ready for the user to accept it and complete it. Open routes are shown in a distinctive green color and can be filtered by clicking on More filters > Open routes:

When clicking the option Create and leave pending, the route will be assigned the Loading pending status, which is for routes that are not yet open for mobile users to accept or even see in the mobile app. You'll need to access the route, assign the pending load, and complete the loading process.

Loading pending routes will show in a distinctive yellow color and can be filtered by clicking More filters > Loading pending:

Routes that have a load pending will not be shown in the mobile app until a web user has finished assigning them a load.
