Start a visit from the mobile app

The visits log in the Handy app helps you follow up in real time on how much time is invested in each visit, as well as make sure that each visit is completed in the right place.


Visits must be logged the moment each client is visited. The permissible Geofence for starting a visit can be defined here. If you try to register a visit outside of this permissible Geofence, the Handy app will not allow it, as the location will be marked as incorrect.


There are many ways you can start a visit. The simplest and most common is through the cards shown on the "clients" menu. These are updated as the user changes locations, showing the user the 3 closest clients to their current location.



The second way to start a visit is to manually search for it in the top search bar. Just type in the client's name or code to manually find it.



Once you have found the client you're looking for, press the "visit" button if you found the client on the main client screen, or press the "start visit" button if you found the client manually.




During the visit, you can carry out many other activities, for example:

  • Record an order.
  • Take a photo.
  • Schedule the next visit with the client.
  • Fill out a survey.
  • Record a payment.
  • Edit client details.


Once all the tasks have been completed on this visit with the client, it's time to end the visit. To do this, just click on the current visit with the client and select "End visit".





Once you have pressed the "End visit" button, you'll need to select a result for this visit.




TIP: If the current visit results don't make sense to you, let your Handy administrator know. They can change the results settings to something that works better for your team. 😉
