Use special prices in promotion rewards

In our promotions system, when activating an order, you can offer discounted or free products as rewards. These discounts are usually calculated using base prices. However, this can cause problems with clients who have assigned price lists or special prices.

We give you the option to respect the client's special prices and assigned price lists and apply promotion discounts over these special prices instead of regular prices.

When creating promotions, you can enable the following setting:

Practical examples:

  1. Imagine a product has a regular base price of $100, but Client 2 has a special price of $50 on this product.

If this setting is enabled, when creating an order for Client 2, if the promotion's conditions are met, the discount will be calculated over $50, not over $100.

  1. If the order is placed from a specific price list, and the client doesn't have any special prices for the product, we use the product's price from the price list to apply the discount.

For example, in Client 3's price list, the product is set to $80. So, if the promotion's conditions are met, the discount will be calculated over $80, as assigned in the price list, not over $100 or $50, like in the previous example.

  1. If the promotion is activated for a client that doesn't have a price list or any special prices, their promotion discounts will be applied over the regular prices.
