User types
There are four types of users you can assign in Handy:
- Route sales
- Promoter
- Presales
- Delivery
You can select the user type in the user data section when editing a user.
While the app permissions for each user are mostly the same, the main differences lie in how they execute certain processes in the field. Below is a detailed explanation of each type:
Now, we'll explain the specifics on each one:
π Route sales
Route sales users take the products loaded into their vehicle, visit clients, and sell and deliver products at the same time.
- They can only place orders for products included in their assigned load.
- They must accept their assigned load before heading out.
- At the end of the day, they must close their route in the app.
π Promoter
Promoters specialize in the self-service or modern trade channel (stores like Walmart, HEB, etc.).
- Their forms are answered one question at a time through a custom user interface, unlike other users who see all questions at once.
- Certain components of the forms are specifically designed for promoters.
π’ Presale
Presale users visit clients without delivering products at the time of the visit.
- They record orders that are later fulfilled from the warehouse.
- Presale users are the most flexible type. If youβre unsure which type to assign, we recommend starting with presale.
π¦ Delivery
Delivery users are responsible for delivering orders placed by presale users.
- Like route sales users, they receive a load based on the deliveries assigned for the day, allowing them to go out and deliver those specific products.
- Delivery users only receive orders through presale users, making them primarily a support role.
- An interesting feature is that delivery users can also perform presale tasks. If you want a user to combine presale and delivery functions, choose this type.
